9月11日星期日，中午2点15分左右，波特兰西北地区发生巨大的连串声响，声波传遍整个波村。
很多人都听到了声响，纷纷通过社交媒体打听发生了什么事。有人以为是爆炸，也有人怀疑是陨石坠落。
波特兰国家气象局说，这不是爆炸，是闪电引发的雷响。
气象局说，一场小型风暴的闪电经过波特兰West Hills时，产生雷击，引发巨大响声的雷响。
预计今天晚些时候不会再有闪电出现。
